We have a fantastic tream whose goal is to provide high quality dental care, that feels good, looks good, and lasts, all in a calm and relaxed environment. We're small so can offer really personalised care focussed on you, and getting you to where you want to be.

There is plenty of parking, online booking (although we love talking to people on the phone too) and we're even open late on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Our dental practice is in the Massey / Westgate area of West Auckland. You can expect gentle dental care, provided with integrity, good humour and warm smiles.

So if you're looking for a dentist that's warm and welcoming, as well as skilled and experienced, you're in the right place.

We cover all aspects of modern dental treatment for adults.

Andrea Lakeland - Dentist

I love helping people smile. For me as a dentist, it’s not just about fixing teeth problems. It’s about giving people back their self-confidence, the desire to smile again and to make visiting me a pleasure, not a chore.

I take my time to get to know every one of my patients. I like to make sure I can offer you the best solutions to your oral health needs and that means getting to know you. I have very high ethical and moral standards and if I think another professional could help you better than I can, I’ll refer you without hesitation.

I graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Since then, I have been working in a wide variety of dental practices around Auckland and New Zealand. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to have a dental check-up and that is one of the reasons why I have opened Massey Smiles. I want to change the way people view the dental profession by providing friendly, supportive and personalised treatment to every one of our patients. It’s about keeping your best interests at heart and always providing you with the absolute best treatment available. I’m never going to tell you off for not flossing, nor growl if you need a filling. Instead I’ll provide you with professional, durable and beautiful dental work you’ll be proud of because that’s what a great dentist does.

In my time off, I enjoy spending time with my primary school aged children. I also enjoy being creative and dabbling in furniture and jewellery making, as well as fibre and textile based arts.

I really enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them.  Seeing people change from when they first come is really rewarding.

I started assisting straight from school when I was 16 so that’s 30 years now!

In my spare time I like gardening at home in West Harbour, and spending time with my teenagers before it’s not cool any more!

Carly - Receptionist

I am a true born and bred Westie! I live locally in Massey, attended Massey High School myself (not too many years ago!!) and currently have 2 children attending Massey Primary.

I absolutely love my job! I inherited a passion for dentistry when I was exposed to the industry almost 7 years ago after being offered to cover a friend who was going on maternity leave from her dental reception role. I jumped in the deep end and haven't looked back.

My previous work history was within customer services and hospitality, I believe the experience I gained from working within this sector has helped shape me into the person I am today.
I was raised as an airforce military brat! - with strong morals, an incredible sense of organisation (also sometimes known as OCD), time management skills to boot (thanks Dad!), an amazing bonded family and the utmost respect for people in general.

"A simple smile. That's the start of opening your heart and being compassionate to others"- Dalai Lama

I am committed to working with you to create a smile that is both beautiful and healthy. This means that I will listen to your oral health needs, communicate through every step of the process and produce high quality dentistry, all with a friendly smile on my own face!

I grew up in Central Auckland before moving to Dunedin in 2014 to study at the University of Otago, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction. Since then I have worked in Hamilton and I have made the move back up to Auckland this year.

In my spare time I enjoy crafting, knitting, a wee bit of gardening and our time in lockdown has helped me to discover my love for long walks around the neighbourhood.

Smile at strangers — it goes a long way! It's the biggest honour to help people reach the confidence to show off their beautiful smiles.

I’ll always take the time to make sure you feel comfortable, heard, and well-informed. Dentistry is different for everyone, and it’s my priority to work with you to achieve your goals in an anxiety-free, friendly environment. My aim is to see you walk out with high quality dental work, a giggle and radiant smile.

I was born and raised in Auckland, and moved to Australia for my dental studies. I’ve since moved back to Auckland to be close to my family.

Outside of the clinic, I love painting, reading and trying to keep houseplants alive. I’m also a big lover of horse riding!

Leanne - Receptionist

In my role as a dental receptionist, I bring a quiet, relaxed presence that immediately puts patients at ease. Though I may not be the loudest voice in the room, my warmth and friendliness shine through, making each visit a pleasant experience. With a background in medical administration/reception, I focus on attentive listening and clear communication, ensuring every patient feels heard and cared for. My aim is to make our dental office a welcoming place where care and service meet seamlessly, thanks to my detail-oriented and patient-first approach.

Aoife - Dental Assistant

I was born and raised in Ireland, and came to Aotearoa on a whim in 2012. Initially for a year but of course, I loved it so much, I had to stay longer. My family are all back home, so I visit regularly which keeps my accent strong! I qualified as a DA in 2020, and have been in the wonderful Massey Smiles since. In my spare time, I love running, reading, hiking and of course, laughing! You’ll hear me before you see me! My Irish fiery spirit is still going strong, so if you see me in the pub, come join me at your own peril
