We're thrilled to welcome Carly to the practice as our new receptionist! Carly is super friendly, and a local Massey resident who has two boys at Massey Primary.
Hi everyone! We're back, all refreshed and ready to help you with your toothy needs 😀
We have decided to have a new promotion for a limited time:
Usually this would be $210 so it's a sizeable discount. I'm not in to offering special deals for new people only, so for any existing patients coming in, please just mention this offer and you will get this discount too.
So what is a standard clean I hear you ask? Well, it's what amount of cleaning that the average person without significant gum disease needs. Usually it takes us around 30 minutes to do this so it's not just a quick whip around! If we found you had significant gum disease then you would need more time than this and in this case we'd take the time to discuss what was happening and work out what you'd like to do.
We love seeing your friends and family please feel free to let them know about us.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for your support through our first 6 months.
Friday is our last day before Christmas. We will be reopening on the 15th January. For any dental emergencies please contact Dental on the Shore on 09 414 7733, and they will take good care of you.
Online bookings for Massey Smiles are always available at https://www.massey-smiles.co.nz/book-online/ if you'd like to arrange a time for the New Year.

It was such a privilege to be a part of the 2017 Deaf Expo.
We felt very welcomed.
Awesome environment!
We've been doing a lot of crowns lately -They make heavily filled teeth a lot stronger and look great- so I thought I'd introduce you to the man behind the scenes making them! This is Hiko who has a fantastic lab called Newmarket Dental Studio. He is a real artist and an important part of our "team". A lot of practices send their work overseas, but we love having a close relationship with a quality lab right here.
Andy and I have been flat out learning NZ sign language, with lessons every day -Our brains are bursting! This is in preparation for attending the Deaf Expo. Everyone is welcome and it should be lots of fun. There will be food, art for sale, face painting and lots more.
There's a video of us signing on our facebook page.

Plaque on teeth -disclosing dye in action!
What is plaque?
It's the stuff that grows on your teeth and gives you gum disease and decay. It's normally white though, so you can't see it, but we've been having fun with some new dye that makes it go pink (or blue if it has been there for ages!)
This dye can be really handy so you can see what's happening with your brushing and flossing. We really like to help our patients look after their teeth so they don't get so many dental problems.
I suspect everyone would have really clean teeth if plaque was pink naturally!
We're open now and accepting bookings! The practice is looking beautiful and we're already getting great feedback from patients.
If you'd like to find out more we love talking to people on the phone, or otherwise if you'd rather just go ahead and book yourself in then our online booking is working really well! Here's the link to book now.

Does this look exciting to you? It is for me! It's the start of Massey Smiles. There's a lot more digging to do, but it will all look great in the end.
